About Us
Dei Spring Academy is a child care center and preschool owned and operated by Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (ELS) in Cold Spring, Minnesota, since 2009. Dei Spring has a capacity for 78 children, ages 6 weeks through 5 years.
We have 5 classrooms at Dei Spring Academy offering full-time care: Infant, Wobbler, Toddler, Younger Preschool (PS1) and Older Preschool (PS2).
We are open 355 days a year, from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Our Staff:
At Dei Spring, we search for the best candidates to fill our staff needs. Our staff personnel are dedicated and compassionate to the children in our care. The staff members participate in ongoing education throughout the year to keep their knowledge of child care development fresh, and to be always improving the care which we provide your child with the best methods possible.
Our mission:
Scripture clearly provides for us the mission for Dei Spring Academy Child Care Center in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” In this Scripture, God has directed parents to provide for the Christian upbringing of children. It is therefore the mission of Dei Spring Academy to assist parents in this training by providing a Christ-centered education for the children in our care.
Dei Spring Academy’s Philosophy of Teaching:
In Luke 2:52, the Bible states, “And Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and men.” In keeping with this Bible verse, Dei Spring Academy believes in promoting the intellectual, physical, spiritual, social and emotional development of each child. Each child is a unique individual with their own interests, needs, and abilities. Therefore, our staff plans a variety of activities with a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities that will allow children to learn and develop in the five key areas we promote at Dei Spring Academy.
We are open 355 days a year, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The holidays for which we will be closed are: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve day, and Christmas Day. In addition, the center may be closed for up to two staff development days during the year.
