About Us

Dei Spring Academy is a child care center and preschool owned and operated by Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (ELS) in Cold Spring, Minnesota, since 2009. Dei Spring has a capacity for 78 children, ages 6 weeks through 5 years.

We have 5 classrooms at Dei Spring Academy offering full-time care: Infant, Wobbler, Toddler, Younger Preschool (PS1) and Older Preschool (PS2).

We are open from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Our Staff:

At Dei Spring, we search for the best candidates to care for your children. Our staff personnel are dedicated to building strong relationships with children and families. The staff members participate in ongoing education throughout the year to always better their knowledge and understanding of behavioral management and developmentally-appropriate curriculum.

Our Mission:

The mission for Dei Spring Academy Child Care Center is provided in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” In this Scripture, God has directed parents to provide for the Christian upbringing of children. Therefore, it is the mission of Dei Spring Academy to assist parents in this training by providing a Christ-centered education for the children in our care.

Dei Spring Academy’s Philosophy of Teaching:

In Luke 2:52, the Bible states, “And Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and men.” In keeping with this Bible verse, Dei Spring Academy believes in promoting the intellectual, physical, spiritual, social and emotional development of each child. Each child is a unique individual with their own interests, needs, and abilities. Therefore, our staff plan a variety of activities with a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities that will allow children to learn and grow at Dei Spring Academy.

We are open Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the exception of the following days: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. In addition, we are closed for two staff development days during the year.
